Closer was the first painting to be completed on the very large easel my boyfriend built for me in his garage. The sacrifice of his own hobbies to allow room for mine inspired this piece.
It was my very first romantic painting to date. While challenging myself to paint a male portrait, I wanted to capture the insatiable desire between two people.
