I originally painted Swan Song with the intent of creating fortune telling cards. At the start of my spiritual journey, I discovered Tarot and was inspired to try creating my own deck. With animals as the focus, this was the perfect opportunity to expand my subject matter while exploring my spirituality as well.
Divine Beasts is a series with a variety of animals that represent different aspects of the human experience. While caterpillars and butterflies could represent growth, this piece has its own meaning.
Swans are known to mate for life, and in this piece, their graceful forms lean into one another like a silent vow. The scene isn't loud with passion; It’s quiet, intentional, and timeless.
